A customer bought one of these at Abid Trading B.V. in Breda with the aim of… transporting it to Tema, the most important port city of Ghana! But how do you arrange the transport of a bus with such extraordinary dimensions?

Faster became his partner in this story.

The phone rang at Faster. The customer on the other end of the line asked to arrange lorry transport for a bus from Breda to Antwerp. He had an appointment with a ship broker for shipping the bus to Tema, so the bus had to be taken to the port of Antwerp. We sprang into action and, together with our regular partner, took care of the transport. And not just any transport!

Exceptional transport

As indicated above, the dimensions of the bus are not standard and a ‘low loader’ is needed. We hear you thinking: a … what? A ‘low loader’ is the English word for a dieplader. The loading height of the trailer must be low enough for the bus to be transported on it. We have to take into account that the bridges over the motorways are usually 4 metres high and that we must be able to pass under them with loader and bus. Once above 4 metres and 4.3 metres, you must have a permit. Expertise, knowledge and the right equipment ensured that the bus arrived safely in the port of Antwerp. Ready to be shipped!

A little extra

Our service did not stop here. We were convinced that we could arrange a cheaper ship broker for our customer. We contacted various companies that shipped vehicles and collected competing quotes. Our customer made it clear that his preference was to stay with his trusted ship broker, but by negotiating with the quotes obtained we were able to lower the price at his existing shipping partner.
